About Match Rivals
One app for the whole routine.
Match Rivals started with a simple frustration: a workout log in one app, a calorie counter in another, and no easy way to see whether the two were working together.
Our story
Built during a real body recomposition.
Match Rivals is built in the UK by Dan Hutton, a software developer who wanted to lose fat and build strength at the same time. That meant following a structured training plan, eating differently on training and rest days, and checking whether strength and body weight were moving the right way.
No single app did all of that well, so he built one. Your programme sets each session and your calorie targets, your logs record what actually happened, and your progress charts show what to change next.
It is designed for a normal British week: stone and pounds, supermarket barcodes, high-street menus and a gym with no signal in the basement.

How we build Match Rivals.
Connected, not crowded
Training, food and progress belong together. We add features when they make that connection clearer, not to fill a menu.
Honest by default
Real screenshots, verified claims and clear labels on anything that is in beta or not switched on yet.
Free where it counts
Logging workouts and food, following a programme and seeing your progress are free. Pro is optional.
Your data stays yours
Your logs live on your phone first, back up to your account, and can be exported whenever you want.
